Jaime Larimore is a new face to Exceptional Senior Living. She joined the team in April 2018 to lead the activities department. "My mother was a director of nursing at a senior community and dedicated a lot of her life to the aging population. I have always enjoyed being around seniors and decided shortly after college that I wanted to help create a fun, inviting environment filled with continued learning, laughter, and fun!" said Jaime.
With a bachelors degree in art from Northern Kentucky University and seven years spent as a quality of life director in long-term care, Jaime knows her way around the activities room. With a paintbrush in hand, she hopes to exceed the expectations of residents at our community. In her short time here, Jaime has already getting to know the favorite crafts and outings of many residents and is incorporating their ideas into the monthly activity calendar.
Pattie O'Rourke started at Exceptional Senior Living in January 2018 as a licensed practical nurse (LPN) on first shift. She joined Exceptional Senior Living after serving at Baptist Hospital Lagrange for 14 years as a nurse in the emergency room and outpatient surgery. While she has been an LPN for 16 years, she also served for three years as an emergency room tech, and nine years as a medical assistant. Needless to say, Pattie is a seasoned medical professional.
During her day at Exceptional Senior Living, Pattie assists our guests with daily living needs including medication management and getting ready for the day. She enjoys spending time interacting with guests and notes how pleasant the staff and guests are. And, it turns out, the guests enjoy her just as much!
“I am so impressed with how she works with the residents here.” said Ms. Gerichs.
“Everything with Pattie is amazing!” commented Ms. Naiser.
Pattie has always enjoyed working with seniors, especially individuals who have memory care issues such as dementia and Alzheimer's disease.
"I would love to see Exceptional Senior Living grow for the community. Having lived in Oldham County for 30 years, this center is a great asset for our community," said Pattie. Be sure to wave hello to Pattie when you tour our center.
